Afterwards he sought out every record and tape and CD the orchestra made just to hear that oboist play." Mark says, "At every solo his face would go blank, like a man totally infatuated. I don't think it occurred to him that the oboist might be a woman until it was too late. When he saw her on a television concert, he was utterly hooked." Edda says, "He saw she was a chick?" Mark says, "He saw she was a 63-year-old chick with trifocals, and the name Maxine."
