Amos: "Where's Edda?" Juliette: "I don't know." Juliette: "One minute I was urging her to play viola. The next minute she was gone." Edda Amos: "What dost thou know?" Edda: "Too well what love women to men may owe." Edda: "In faith, they are as true of heart as we. My father had a daughter loved a man as it might be, perhaps, were I a woman I should your lordship." Amos: "And what's her history?" Edda: "A blank, my Lord. She never told her love, but let concealment, like a worm I'th'bud, feed on her damask cheek." Edda: "She pined in thought, and with a green and yellow melancholy she sat like patience on a monument, smiling at grief." Amos: Thy simile is passing strange. How canst thou sit like patience on a monument." A bird. Edda: "Thus..and, methinks, with fresh grief to smile at." Amos: "I'll away."
