Electra: Who are you?? Cathy: Ha, ha. Woman in office: How's it going, Cathy? Cathy: I've given up my quest for perfection and am shooting for five good minutes in a row. Outfit: Stunning. Hair: Adorable. Attitude: Magnificent. Triumphant head toss causes speck of dust to fly into contact lens. One tiny tear forms. Tear dissolves waterproof mascara. Mascara mixes with eyeliner to form large blob of "mauvey-mist" sludge, which dumps into eye. Massive watering and clutching at eye cause instantaneous depth perception loss and empathetic shutdown of remaining good eye. Panic creates heat. Head sweats. Hair frizzes. Dress wrinkles. Pantyhose shrink. Blind, wadded-up driver careens through traffic. Coffee from unspillable mug slops onto allegedly stain-resistant suede pump.
