Pop star Roody Ricch was born Rodrick Wayne More Jr. in Compton, California, on October 22 1998, he became affiliated with a gang in his teens, which led to his estrangement from his religious-minded parents. A short spell in county jail made him realize that he might be better served indulging his passion for making music. In November 2017, he released his "Feed Tha Streets" mixtape. His distinctive sound earned him attention and acclaim. A year later, his second mixtape. "Feed Tha Streets II" spawned the single "Die Young" which racked up 80 million views on Youtube and 120 Spotify streams. In early 2009, he was featured alongside hit-boy on the Nipsey Hussle top-40 hit "Racks In The Middle" which garnered him the Grammy for best rap performance, and mustard's "Ballin'" which reached No. 11 on the charts and also earned a Grammy nomination. Roddy's debuted studio album "Please Execute Me for Being Antisocial." soared to the top of the charts on release in late 2019. 2020 saw Roddy continue to collaborate with various artists, including a team-up with Dababy on the chart-topping single "Rockstar" The track was his second No. 1 hit, following on from "The Box" the 7x platinum-certified hit that spent 11 weeks in pole position. The grammy-nominated track, which was named song of the year by Apple Music, generated over 56 million in revenue.
