Biographic Steve McGarry Lily Collins Lily Jane Collins, daughter of rock star Phil Collins, was born in Guildford, Surrey, England, on March 18, 1989. After her parents divorced, she was raised by her mother in Los Angeles from the age of five. She majored in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Southern California and covered the 2008 Presidential Campaign as a host on the Nickelodeon TV show "Kids Pick the President." She has also written for a number of publications since her teens, including "Teen Vogue," "Seventeen" and the "Los Angeles Times Magazine." She found success as a model and was named "international Model of the Year" by Spain's "Glamour" Magazine in 2008. Having made her acting debut at the age of two on the BBC comedy "Growing Pains." She went on to appear in a couple of episodes on the rebooted TV series "90210," before landing a role as the daughter of Sandra Bullock's character in the 2009 movie "The Blind Side." Following a role in the 2011 thriller "Priest," she starred opposite Taylor Lautner that same year in "Abduction. Lily lost out to Kristen Stewart for the role of Snow White in "Snow White and the Huntsman"...but was then cast as Snow White, opposite Julia Roberts, in "Mirror Mirror." She followed up with roles in "Stuck in Love" and "The English Teacher." She landed the leading role as Clary Fray in 2013's "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" - the first movie in a planned series that was widely tipped to be a franchise as successful as the "Twilight" movies - however, when the movie bombed, a proposed sequel was shelved. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in the movie "Rules Don't Apply" and appeared in the acclaimed "Okja" after starring with Keanu Reeves in "To The Bone" she played serial killer Ted Bundy's girlfriend opposite Zac Efron in 2019's "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile" as well as leading roles in "Tolkien" and "Inheritance." She followed a season of TV's "The Last Tycoon" with her portrayal of the doomed Fantine in the miniseries adaption of "Les Miserables." Lily can currently be seen starring in "Emily in Paris" a netflix series that has been renewed for a second season- and the critically landed movie "Mank."
