Chris Pine Christopher Whitelawn Pine was born in Los Angeles on Autust 26, 1980. His mother, Gwynne Gilford, is a former TV and movie actress who later became a psychotherapist. His dad, Robert Pine, is an Actor whose five decades of credits include his lengthy stint as Sgt. Joseph Getraer on "Chips." After gaining a Bachelor's degree in English from UC Berkeley - including a year of study in England - Christ attended the American Conservatory in San Francisco. He landed his first acting roles in 2003, appearing on the TV shows "ER," "The Guardian" and "CSI: Miami." His career received a mjor boost when he starred opposite Anne Hathaway in "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement," and he went on to appear in the likes of "Just My Luck," "Blind Dating," "Smokin' Aces" and "Bottle Shock." His rise to the top was confirmed when he was cast as James T. Kirk in 2009's big-budget hit "Star Trek." He reprised the role in two more movies in the franchise. Away from the big screen, Chris earned acclaim for his stage work, following his role in a production of "Fat Pig" with "The Lieutenant of Inishmore," for which he won the LA Drama Critics Circle Award. His next major screen role was opposite Denzel Washington in the runaway trin movie "Unstoppable." in 2012, he starred in "The Means War," opposite Reese Witherspoon and Tom Hardy, the drama "People Like Us," and voiced leading character Jack Front in the animated "Rise of the Guardians."Additional voice work includes Dr. Devizo on TV's "Supermansion" a role that earned him an emmy nomination: and Ultimate Spider-man in "Spider Man: Into Spider-Verse." In 2014 by playing the lead in "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit," he played the title character previously portrayed by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck. "Horrible Bosses 2" was followed by the musical "Into the Woods," sci-fi drama "Z for Zachariah" and thrillers "The Finest Hours" and "Hell or High Water," he starred in "A Wrinkle in Time" and played Robert the Bruce in "Outlaw King." He played Seve Trevor in the 2017 Blockbuster "Wonder Woman." It seemed his involvement with the franchise had ended with the death of his character- so Pine's return to the role in the upcoming "Wonder Woman 1984" is a source of fan intrigue!
