Born on March 12, 1968, in Chester, in the Northwest of England, Daniel Craig moved to London in his teens to attend the National Youth Theatre and was later trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama alongside the likes of Ewan McGregor and Joseph Fiennes. He was still at drama school when he made his movie debut in 1992's "The Power of One" opposite Morgan Freeman. Stage and TV roles followed, his credits ranging from TV's "Convington Cross" centered on the medieval crusades- to a National Theatre production of "Angels In America" on the London Stage. His big U.K. breakthrough came in 1996 with the popular TV drama series "Our Friends In The North." "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" in which he starred with Angelina Jolie was followed by the likes of "Road to Perdition" "Layer Cake" and "Munich, Daniel" was catapulted to superstardom when he was cast as the new James Bond in 2006's Casino Royale" The movie was a huge hit, as was the next in the series "Quantum of Solace" in 2008, his third outing as Agent 007, 2012's "Skyfall" was the first Bond movie to gross over a billion dollars. Away from the Bond movies, his film credits have ranged from the fantasy of "The Golden Compass" to "Cowboys and Aliens" "The Adventures Of Tintin" and "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" Craig and his wife, Rachel Weisz, enjoyed a successful three-month run on Broadway in the play "Betrayal" followign the 2015s Bond movie "Spectre" he returned to the New York stage in "Othello" with David Oyelowo. Having earned a Gilden Globe nomination for the mystery Knives Out, he makes his fifth and final appearence as James Bond in next Month's "No Time To Die."
