Born in Melbourne, Australia, on March 20, 1986, Ruby Rose Langenheim first found success as a model before beating more than 2,000 other hopefuls in a competition to become a presenter on MTV Australia in 2007. She went on to work extensively as a host of Australian tv before deciding to try her hand at an acting career. Unable to land an agent or manager... or even get an audition... she produced her own short film, "Break Free" In 2014, the film went viral, gaining millions of views in a short space of time, and doors began to open. In 2015, she landed the role of Stela Carlin on "Orange Is The New Black" which brought her awards recognition and the attention of Hollywood. Following roles in "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" "XXX: Return of Exander Cage" "John Wick: Chapter 2" "Pitch Perfect 3" and "The Meg" she was cast as Kate Kane aka Batwoman in the new TVseries that forms part of the DC comics Arrowverse multiverse primarily airing on The CW Network.
