The son of Egyptian immigrants, Rami Malek was born in Los Angeles on May 12, 1981. Rami, who has a twin brother and an older sister, attended high school with actresses Rachel Bilson and Kristen Dunst. After graduating from the Indiana's University of Evansville with a B.A. in Fine Arts, he launched his acting career with a role on TV's "Gilmore Girls" his tv break came with the role of Kenny on the sitcom "Night At The Museum" a role he has reprised in two sequels. Subsequent credits Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2," a terrorist on "24" and Corporal Merriell "Snafu" Shelton on the HBO miniseries "The Pacific." Since 2015, he has played the lead in the psychological drama "Mr. Robot" a role that has won him a Primetime Emmy amid a host of award nominations. Following his portrayal of Louis Daga in the remake of "Papillon" the role played by Dustin Hoffman in the 1973 movie - Rami is set to propel his career to even greater heights with his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the Queen biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody."
