Born in Berwyn, Illinois, on October 22, 1962, Bob Odenkirk was raised in Naperville. He attended Wisconsin's to southern Illinois University, where he continued to hone his late-night DeeJay on college radio. He went on to immerse himself in the comedy scene in Chicago, which led to him landing as gig as a writer on "Saturday Night Live." He stayed with the show for four years, making occasional on-screen cameos, and went on to write for Chris Eliott's sitcom, "Get a Life" and "The Dennis Miller Show." Bob was a writer and actor on "The Ben Stiller Show" before a two-year stint as a writer on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien." he had a recurring role on "The Larry Sanders Show" then teamed up with David Cross to create "Mr. Show" for HBO, which became a cult favorite during it's four-season run. Bob went on to appear in numerous movies and tv shows, including "Everybody Loves Raymond" "Curb Your Enthusiasm" "Weeds" "Entourage" and "How I Met Your Mother" he was running for the lead in the U.S. version of "The Office." In 2009, he joined the cast of "Breaking Bad" in the show's second season. His corrupt lawyer character, Saul Goodman, was soon a regular, and he stayed with the series into its final season. 2014 saw Bob play Police Chief Bill Oswalt on the FX miniseries "Fargo" and he has continued to enjoy success in both tv and movies- but Saul Goodman has become his career-defining signature role. In 2015, his "Breaking Bad" character was spun off into the series "Better Call Saul." The show has been a critical and commercial success- the pilot set the record for the highest-rated scripted series premier in basic cable history at the time of its debut. The fourth season is currently airing, the show has been renrewed for a fith.
