Kesha Rose Sebert was born in Los Angeles on March 1, 1987. After her songwriter mother, PEbe Sebert, landed a song publishing deal in 1991, the family moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Kesha and her two brothers spent much of their childhood backstage at concerns and in and around recording studios, and it was from her mother that Kesha learned how to write songs. In 2004, the Seberts hosted the filming of an episode of the TV show "The Simple Life" and Kesh agot to know Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Ambitious and eager to make her way in music, within six months of the TV show filming, Kesha was living in Los Angeles and ading background vocals to Paris Hilton's single "Nothing In This World." Her songs began to appear on TV show soundtracks, she was featured in the video for Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" and sang backup on the Britney Spears hit "Lace and Leather." After she collaborated with Flo Rida on the chart-topper "Right Round" she was signed to a multialbum record deal. Kesha's debut single "Tik Tok" was a worldwide No. 1 and her "Animal" album- driven by such hits as "Blah Blah Blah" debuted at the top of the U.S. charts. A string of hit singles included the chart-topping "We R Who We R" confirmed her rapid rise to the top. In 2013, she notched her third No. 1 when she was featured on Pitbull's "Timber" a track that she co-wrote. But despite her successes, the storm clouds were gathering. Against a backdrop of underperforming releases, her career stalled as she battled health problems and became embroiled in a bitter legal dispute that made tabloid headlines. She re-emerged in 2016, joining Zedd onstage at Coachella before embarking on a world tour. In 2007, her third studio album "Rainbow" debuted at the top of the Billboard Charts. It earned her two Grammy nominations. This summer, following their collaboration on the single "Good Old Days" Kesha is teaming up with rap star Macklemore on a North American tour.
