Born in London on April 10, 1992, Daisy Jazz Isobel Ridley attended a performing arts school, where she trained in musical theater until she was 18. After spending some time traveling, including for roles. Early credits included such British TV productions as ""Youngers" "Toast of London" and "Mr. Selfridge" and she appeared in a number of short films before making her feature debut in 2015, U.K. horror movie "Scrawl." By the time the movie was released, she was already the subject of intense media coverage, thanks to her casting as Rey, one of the lead characters in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The movie was a tremendous success, taking in more than $2 billion worldwide, and Daisy received huge acclaim for her performance. She went on t play Mary Debenham opposite a Stellar ensemble cast in "Murder On the Orient Express" and upcoming projects include the animated "Peter Rabbit" the lead in "Ophelia" a movie based on the character created by William Shakespeare- and the sci-fi thriller "Chaos Walking" but for now, the focus is on "Star Wars" following this month's "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" she is slated to reprise the role of Rey again in 2019 in another sequel.
