Born in Santa Ana, California, on April 29, 1958, Michelle Pfeiffer was working as a Supermarket checkout girl when she won the Miss Orange County beauty pageant in 1978 and secured herself a Hollywood agent. Her first TV role was one line in an episode of "Fantasy Island" and she went on to land regular roles on the shows "Delta House" and "B.A.D. Cats" Movie roles followed in such fare as "Charlie Chan and the curse of The Dragon Queen" and "Grease 2." Her career took an upswing when she was cast opposite Al Pacino in 1983's "Scarface" and her next roles veered from the comedy thriller "Into the Night" to the medieval fantasy of "Ladyhawke" in 1987's "The Witches of Eastwick" with Cher, Susan Sarandon, and Jack Nicholson gave her a box-office hit and following further hits, "Married to the Mob" and "Tequila Sunrise" the acclaimed Dangerous Liaisons" gave her an Oscar nomination. Michelle received a second Oscar nomination for 1989's "The Fabulous Baker Boys" 1992s "Love Field" brought a third Oscar nomination and that same year she turend in a memorale performance as CAtwoman in Tim Burton's "Batman Returns." Subsequent movies ranged from teh period romance "The Age of Innocence" to the urban classroom drama "Dangerous Minds" she returned wiht Jack Nicholson for "Wolf" and teamed up with Harrison Ford for the dark thriller "What Lies Beneath" she voiced roles in the animated hits "The Prince of Egypt" and "Sinbad: The Legend of the Seven Seas" and starred in movies as diverse as "Hairspray" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream." 2012 saw her earn acclaim for her work in "People Like Us" and reunite with Director Tim Burton for "Dark Shadows"
