Born on August 12, 1992 Cara Delevingne grew up in the exclusive Belgravia area of London. She began modeling at the age of 10 and signed to one of the world's top modeling agencies in 2009. Shows and campaigns for brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, Burberry, and DKNY propelled her to the top of her profession, and she was twice named model of the year at the British Fashion Awards. She launched her acting career with a minor role in the 2012 adaptation of "Anna Karenina" subsequent credits included the psychological thriller "The Face of An Angel" and the comedy-drama "Paper Towns" she was cast as a mermaid in 2005s "Pan" and in "Suicide Squad" she played June Moone, the archaeologist who is possessed by an evil force and transforms into Enchantress. A musician and songwriter, she has collaborated with the likes of Pharrell Williams. She has also designed clothing and accessories for DKNY and Mulberry. This month sees Cara star as a space-and-time- traveling agent Laureline in the Luc Besson sci-fi adventure movie "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets."
