Created by Psychologist and writer William Moulton Marston and artist Harry G. Peter, Wonder Woman debuted in All Star Comics- wich would later become part of DC Comics in December 1941. An Amazonian Warrior Princess who was given her powers by the Greek Gods, the character's first broadcast appearance was a guest in a 1972 episode of "The Brady Kids" cartoon. In 1973, she appeared on The Saturday Morning animated TV series "Super Friends" Wonder Woman has been a staple of animated TV ever since. Cathy Lee Crosby took the role in a 1974 TV movie plot, but the network declined to pick up the series. The following year, former Miss World America beauty queen Lynda Carter starred in the title role of the "Wonder Woman" TV series. It ran for one season on ABC and then aired on CBS for two more seasons. ADrianne Palicki starred in a 2011 TV pilot that never aired. Model Gal Gadot, a former Israeli soldier, debuted her portrayal in lat years "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Following her performance in this summer's "Wonder Woman" she will reprise the role in "Justice League" later this year.
