The Followill brothers- Ivan Nathan (Born June 26, 1979), Anthony Caleb (born January 14, 1982) and Michael Jared (born November 20, 1986) spent their early years traveling the deep south with their Pentecostal preacher father as he spread the gospel at churches and tent revivals. The two eldest brothers moved to Nashville to pursue their musical ambitions, where they teamed up with songwriter and producer Angelo Petraglia. Joined by their younger brother, they formed the Kings of Leon, also recruiting their guitarist cousin, Cameron Matthew Followill (born September 10, 1984). All four are now known by their middle names. With Petraglia involved in production and writing duties, the band's 2003 debut album, "Youth And Young Manhood" was embraced overseas. Subsequent releases saw the group's popularity skyrocket in Europe and Australia. America was slower to catch on, but following support slots with U2 and Bob Dylan, the band's fourth album, 2008's "Only By The Night," climbed to the top of the Billboard hot modern rock chart. The Grammy-winning singles "Sex On Fire" and "Use Somebody" propelled the album to platinum status. The group's fifth studio album "Come Around Sundown" was released in 2010, and they toured extensively and headlined major festivals before going on hiatus in 2011. Kings of Leon regrouped to release the album "Mechanical Bull" in 2013. It topped the Billboard rock and alternative charts and hit the No. 2 slot on the Billboard Hot 200. Released earlier this year, "Walls" the band's seventh studio album debuted at the top of the Billboard album charts. Next month will see Kings of Leon embark on an arena tour of North America, Canada and Europe.
