Born on July 6, 1979, Kevin Darnell Hart and his older brother were raised by their Mom in Philadelphia. After graduating from college, Kevin worked as a shoe salesman while trying to break into stand-up comedy. He honed his act in the nightclubs, winning several amateur comedy competitions throughout New England. He got his first big break when Judd Apatow cast him in the tv series "Undeclared." The show was short-lived, but it opened Hollywood doors. Kevin made his movie debut in 2002's "Paper Soldiers" before racking up credits in a couple of films in the "Scary Movie" series and the likes of "Soul Plane." "In the Mix" and "The 40-year-old virgin. Subsequent credits included the comedies "Epic Movie" "Superhero Movie" "Meet Dave" "Drillbit Taylor," "Death At A Funeral" and "Little Fockers." His 2009 comedy tour "I'm A Grown Little Man"- the diminutive comic stands just 5'4 tall was followed by 2010's "Seriously Funny." His 2011 tour, "Laugh At My Pain" grossed more than $15 million and spawned a documentary movie. A Subsequent, sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden was featured in the movie "Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain." Kevin was now one of the hottest comedy stars in the world- and the movie roles began to reflect that. He starred in "Think Like A Man" "Grudge Match" "Ride Along" and "About Last Night" as well as the hit sequels "Think Like A Man Too" and Ride Along 2." 2013 saw the debut of "Real Husbands of Hollywood," the hit TV show he co-created and on which he stars. Last year he starred in "The Wedding Ringer" and "Get Hard." This summer sees him star in two major movies- "Central Intelligence" with Dwayne Johnson and the animated "The Secret Life of Pets," from the same people who brought you "Minions!"
