Tina Fey Born Elizabeth Stamatina Fey in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, on May 18, 1970, Tina Fey graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in drama before moving to Chicago to join the famed improvisational troupe, The Second City. This led to a writing job on "Saturday Night Live," and in 1999 she became the show's first female head writer. The anchoring the show's Weekend Update segment, initially alongside Jimmy Fallon, and later in tandem with Amy Poehler. After writing and co-starring in the 2004 Linday Lohan movie "Mean Girls" she left "SNL" to create and develop her sitcom "30 Rock." The show, on which she starred alongside fellow "SNL" veterans "Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin, debuted in 2006 to critical acclaim. 2008 saw her team up with Poehler on the movie "Baby Mama." she also returned to "SNL" to make a string of appearances as Sarah Palin. Her devastating portrayals of the vice presidental hopeful became a media sensation boosted the popularity of "30 Rock." Her 2011 autobiography, "Bossypants," topped the best-seller lists for five weeks. She has thrice co-hosted the Golden Globe with Poehler, and she created and produced the TV series "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt." her awards include eight Emmy's and two Golden Globes. Tina's film credits include "Date Night" "Sisters" "Muppets Most Wanted" the animated hit "Megamind" and the new war comedy "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot."
