Krysten Ritter was born in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania, on December 16, 1981. Raised on a farm, she was only 15 when she was spotted in her local mall by a modeling agent and was soon modeling in New York. She spent her teens doing magazine and Runway work in New York, Milan, Paris, and Tokyo. She transitioned into acting, landing small roles in a number of movies, including 2003's "Mona Lisa Smile." She honed her craft with stage work on a number of TV shows, including "One Life To Live" "Veronica Mars" and "Gilmore Girls" 2008 saw her appear in the movies "27 Dresses" "What Happens In Vegas" and star in the indie film "The Last International Playboy." Her profile was further raised when she landed the role of Jesse Pinkman's doomed girlfriend Jane Margolis, on the acclaimed tv series "Breaking Bad" She continued to rack up tv and movie credits, including a starring role on the tv series "Gravity" and wrote co-produced and starred in the 2011 movie "Life Happens." the following year she starred opposite Alicia Silverstone in the movie "Vamps" and took the starring role of the sitcom "Don't Trust the B--- in Apartment 23." Away from acting, Krysten sings and plays guitar in a band called Ex Vivian. The success of the Netflix series "Jessica Jones" on which she plays the eponymous superhero turned private detective, has created tremendous media buzz about Krysten and earned her a legion if new fans.
