Robert Pattinson Born in London on May 13, 1986, Robert Pattinson worked as a model in his early teens before he became involved in amateur theater. His screen debut came in 2004's "Ring Of The Nibelungs," a production that was released both theatrically and as a TV miniseries under a variety of titles, including "Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King." when it was shown in the U.S. in 2006. Following a role in "Vanity Fair" that was cut from the movie but included on the DVD release, he raised his profile significantly with his portrayal of Quiddich Star Cedric Diggory in 2005's "Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire" a role that reprised two years later in "Harry Potter And The Order of The Phoenix. British TV productions "The Haunted Airman" and "The Bad Mother's Handbook" were followed by a starring role in the indie comedy "How To Be" Pattison, who has played guitar songs on the soundtrack. The movie earned him the best actor in a feature award at France's 2008, Strasbourg Film Festival. Other roles have ranged from a portrayal of Salvador Dali in "Little Ashes" to T.E. Lawrence, the real-life Lawrence Of Arabia" opposite Nicole Kidman and James Franco in "Queen Of The Desert" other credits include "Water For Elephants" "Bel Ami" "The Rover" and "Maps To The Stars." In his latest movie "Life" "Robert portrays Dennis Stock, the photographer renowned for his iconic images of actor James Dean. Upcoming projects include "The Trap" a crime thriller that will team him with Benicio Del Toro, James Franco, and Al Pacino. That same year, he starred as the vampire Edward Cullen in "Twilight" a movie based on the phenomenally successful series of novels by Stephanie Meyer, which have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide to date. The movie, whose soundtrack included two of his songs, was a huge hit and established Robert as a major teen heartthrob. He represented the role in four sequels and, to date, the "Twilight" movies have grossed over $3.3 billion worldwide.
