English singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran was born in West Yorkshire on February 17, 1991, and raised in Suffolk. He released his first EP when he was 14 years old, and he moved to London at the age of 17 to pursue a career in music. With constant giggling and a string of indie releases. His popularity continued to rise. In 2011, his EP "No. 5 Collaborations Project" sold 7,000 copies in the first week of release. When he played a gig at London's Barfly, more than 1,000 fans turned up, so Ed played four shows to make sure everyone got to see him, including a gig outside on the street after the venue closed! Days later, he signed a major record label. His 2011 debut single, "The A-Team" was the top10 hit in the UK, Australia, parts of Europe and Japan. And his next three singles were all international hits. His debut album was certified 6x platinum in the UK. He headlined the BBC Introducing tent at the Glastonbury festival that summer, and he went on to scoop up a number of industry awards. A 2012 guest appearance of Taylor Swift's "Red" album was followed by a duet with Elton John at the 2013 Grammys. He wrote songs for One Direction, toured the U.S. with Snow Patrol, had his songs featured on TV show soundtracks and spent much of the 2013 opening for Swift on The Red Tour. He headlined three sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden and had a song on the soundtrack of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," when his second studio album "X" was released in the Summer of 2014, it topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. In late 2014, Spotify named Sheeran the most-streamed artist in the world, having accumulated an astonishing 860 million streams that year alone! This summer, he played three sold-out concerts at Wembley stadium in London!
