Bradley Charles Cooper was born in Philadelphia, on January 5, 1975. While attending Georgetown University, he was a member of the Georgetown Hoyas rowing team, acted with the University's nomadic theatre and became fluent in French, spending six months as an exchange student in Aix-en-Provence, France. After graduating with a degree in English, he received a master of fine arts degree from New York's actor's studio drama school. Early tv credits included an appearance on "Sex And The City" and he was a presenter on an adventure travel series. After his movie debut in 2001's "Wet Hot American Summer" he played Will Tipton on the hit series "Alias." His profile continued to rise through a string of movies until the success of 2009's "The Hangover" which grossed $467 million worldwide- confirmed his star status, the movie has also spawned two hit sequels. 2012's "Silver Lining Playbook" brought Oscar and Golden Globe Nominations, as did the following year's American Hustle" co-star "Jennifer Lawrence" in "Serena" before taking the portrayal of navy Chris Kyle in the biographical "American Sniper" directed by Clint Eastwood, "Sniper" was a huge hit and earned six Academy Award Nominations including best actor. This year, Cooper follows "Aloha" with the upcoming comedy "Adam Jones" he also returns to his roots, as does most of the original cast, with the Netflix prequel spin-off series "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp."
