Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris on April 15, 1990. The daughter of British Lawyers. She lived in Paris until she was 5 years old. Emma trained at London's Stagecoach, a part-time theater school, appearing in a number of Stagecoach productions and school plays. But no amount of training could have prepared her for the whirlwind rise to stardom after she beat out thousands of other young hopefuls to land the role of Hermione Granger in "Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone" released in the U.S. as "Harry Potter And The Sorcerers Stone" which dominated the box office in late 2001. She reprised the role seven times culminating in 2011s "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" one of the most successful franchises in cinema history, the Harry Potter movies earned $7.7 billion worldwide. Millions of cinemagoers watched Emma blossom from childhood to adulthood. Her performances earned consistent critical acclaim, garnered a number of awards and made her a very wealthy young woman. Away from the "Potter" films, her acting was limited to a 2007 BBC tv adaptation of "Ballet Shoes" and a voice role in the 2008 animated feature "The Tale of Despereaux" she dabbled extensively in modeling and fashion and took the time to earn a bachelor's degree in English literature from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Her more recent movie credits range from "The Perks Of Being A Wallflower" to the biblical epic "Noah" she has two releases in the pipeline "Regression" with Ethan Hawke and the German thriller "Colonia" and she recently began filming as Belle in an upcoming remake of "Beauty and The Beast" A committed women's rights advocate, Emma was appointed as a U.N.
