Bornin Taylor Alison Swift in Eastern Pennsylvania on December 13, 1989. She became obsessed with country music at an early age. By the time she was 10, Taylor was performing in every karaoke contest, country fair and festival she could find. The following year, she made the pilgrimage to Nashville to drop her demo tape off at every record label in town, and at 14, she persuaded the family to relocate to the country music capital so she could pursue her dream. A prolific songwriter even then, she inked a publishing deal and was soon signed to the fledging Big Machine record label. Her debut single "Tim McGraw" hit the country top 10- and by the time she met the songs subject on live TV during her ACM awards appearance, she was a multiplatinum sensation. Her self-titled debut album spent eight weeks at the top of the country charts, selling more than 3 million copies and earning her a best new artist Grammy Nomination. Released in late 2008, her sophomore album "Fearless" debuted at the top of the billboard charts and went on to win four Grammys, with Taylor becoming the youngest ever album of the year winner. Her music was evolving, and the teen queen of the country was now a bona fide pop star. Her third album, 2010's "Speak Now" sold more than a million copies within the first week of release, as did the subsequent albums "Red" which was released in 2012, and 2014s "1989." To date, the 25-year-old has won Seven Grammy awards, sold more than 30 million albums and 80 million singles and reportedly earned in excess of $300 million!
