Ariana Grande-Butera was orn in Boca Raton, Florida, on June 26, 1993. Growing up, she performed in children's theater, sang with various orchestras and made her national TV debut singing "The Star Spangled Banner" for the Florida Panthers hockey team. In 2008, she was cast in The Broadway musical "13" a role that garnered her a national youth theater association award. In 2009, Ariana landed the role of Cat Valentine on the Nickelodian TV Show "Victorious" the series made her a teen star and the show's soundtrack albums launched her singing career. "Victorious" was shelved after three seasons, but Ariana's character was spun off into the sitcom "Sam & Cat" despite being a hit in the ratings, the show was canceled after 40 episodes when Ariana's musical career took off! Her debut album 2013's "Yours Truly," debuted at the top of the Billboard charts. She starred in the Nickelodeon Film "Swindle" toured with Justin Bieber and won the AMA new artist of the year award. In 2014, her second album "My Everything" also topped the album charts. At one point, she had three hit singes in the top ten of the U.S. charts!
