BIOGRAPHIC follow Steve McGarry Cartoons every day on Facebook ANDREW LINCOLN Born Andrew Clutterbuck in London, on September 14, 1973, Andrew Lincoln trained as an actor at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He made his TV debut in a 1994 episode of the British sitcom "Drop The Dead Donkey," and two years later, landed a leading role in the long-running drama series "This Life." He went on to become a regular on British screens and also starred in the hit sitcom "Teachers." In 2006, Andrew married Gael Anderson, Daughter of Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson. He appeared in a number of movies, including the 2003 hit "love Actually," and starred in the U.K. paranormal drama series "afterlife." Lincoln then played Edgar Linton in 2009's PBS adaptation of "Wuthering Heights." The following year, he debuted in the role that has made him a cult hero to millions of zombie fans around the world, Sheriff Rick Grimes in the postapocalyptic TV drama "The Walking Dead." Based on the comic book series of the same name, the show has become a ratings phenomenon - the season two finale was the most-watched cable drama telecast in TV history!
