Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 29 1982, Adam Lambert was raised in San Diego, California. He appeared in musical theater from an early age, and by his late teens, had embarked on a career in showbiz. He worked on a cruise line, toured Europte in a production of "Hair" and eventually joined the cast of the musical "Wicked." He was catapulted to fame on season eight of the megahit tv show "American Idol" his stunning vocalrange and unique song styling taking him through to the season finale. Although he was runner-up on the show, it was obvious a new star had arrived on the pop scene. His 2009 debut album "For Your Entertainment." hit number three on the Billboard charts and spawned a number of hit singles, including the Grammy-nominated international top-ten smash "Whataya Want From Me." He has generated acres of press coverage and has been featured on the covers such magazines as "Entertainment Weekly," "Rolling Stone" and "Details." The recipient of numerous awards, he has also toured the world routinely selling out venues wherever he olays.
