Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill was born on the island of Jersey, which is located between Britain and France, on May 5, 1983. He developed a passion for acting while attending boarding school in England. Appearing in roles as diverse as Oberon in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and Sonny in "Grease" His early credits included the movies "Laguna" and "The Count Of Monte Cristo" the tv movie "Goodbye, Mr. Chips," and roles on the popular U.K. tv series "Midsomer Murders" and "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries." Following a series of small profile films, he made a major breakthrough as Charles Brandon, The Duke of Suffolk. On the Showtime series "The Tudors" a role that fixed him firmly on Hollywood's radar. Star of the big-budget epic "Immortals" he teams up next with Bruce Willis for the upcoming action movie "The Cold Light of Day" before the 2013 release of movie that way very well confirm the arrival of new superstar- when Henry portrays Superman in the fervently anticipated "Man Of Steel."
