Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 29, 1978. Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Veliente Scherzinger was raised in Louisville Kentucky, from the age of 6. She attended The Youth Performing Arts School and performed with Actors Theatre Of Louisville, and was first runner-up in a talent contest at the 1996 Kentucky State fair. Nicole went on to major acting and musical theater at Wright State University. Where she played Velma Kelly in "Chicago" and Julie La Verne in "Show Boat." but she put her studies on hold in 1999, when she was recruited for sing backing vocals on the tour Louisville rock band Days of The New. In 2001, she competed in the tv show "popstars" and won a spot in the all-girl pop quintet Eden's Crush, although the group enjoyed chart success, they disbanded soon after their record label folded- but not before her contractual obligaions had forced Nicole to turn down the slot in The Black Eyed Peas that was subsequently offered to Fergie. Nicole joined the Pussycat Dolls as lead vocalist in 2003, and hits such as "Don't Cha" and Stickwitu" catapulted the girls to the top of the charts worldwide. The group was also the launchpad for the parallel solo career that saw Nicole eventually leave the lineup in late 2010. Shortly after she was the winner on Season 1- of "Dancing With The Stars." Her latest role is on the panel of Judges on Simon Cowell's new tv talent show "The X Factor."
