Christopher Robert Evans was born in sudbury, Massachusetts, on June 13, 1981. A summer acting program in New York led to small tv roles on "Boston Public" and "The Fugitive" and a stint on the series "Opposite Sex" he made his film debut in 2000 in "The Newcomers" then starred in 2001's "Not Another Teen Movie" subsequent credits included "Cellular," "The Perfect Score" and "Fierce People" His big break came when he was cast as The Human Torch, Johnny Storm in the 2005 box-office smash "Fantastic Four" a role he reprised two years later in the sequel. The sci-fi movie "Sunshine" was followed by the romantic comedy "The Nanny Diaries" with Scarlette Johansson, and 2008, gritty drama "Street Kings," opposite Keanu Reeves. Following roles in film adaptations of the comic books "The Losers" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World." He brings to life another superhero in this summer's "Captain America: The First Avenger."
