Destiny Hope Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992, the same year that her Dad, country star Billy Ray Cyrus took the charts by storm with his single "Achy Breaky Heart." Her early years were spent on the family's farm just outside Nashville, Tennessee, where her sunny disposition earned her the nickname "Smiley" which eventually became "Miley." A cameo at the age of 9 on her Dad's TV show, the medical drama "Doc" was followed by a role in the 2003 Tim Burton movie "Big Fish." In 2006, she was cast as Hannah Montana the secret pop star alter ego of an ordinary high school girl- and her real-life Dad was cast as her father! The show became an absolute phenomenon. The soundtrack album debuted at the top of the U.S. charts, a feat repeated by "Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus" in the summer of 2007. At one point, more than two-thirds of kids between the ages of 6 and 14 were reportedly watching "Hannah Montana." A sold-out tour and hit concert movie were followed by her chart-topping "Breakout" album. Following her voice work in the animated film "Bolt" "Hannah Montana: The Movie" was released in 2009, spawning its own multiplatinum soundtrack album. The lead role in 2010's "The Last Song" marked a transition to more grown-up fare, as did her hit single "Party In The U.S.A." and the recent "Can't Be Tamed" album.
