Born in London on May 13, 1986, Robert Pattison worked as a model in his early teens, before he became involved in amateur theater. His screen debut came in 2004's "Ring Of The Nibelungs," a production that was released both theatrically and as a TV miniseries, under a variety of titles, including "Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King" when it was shown the U.S. on the SciFi channel in 2006. Following a role in "Vanity Fair" that was cut from the movie but included on the DVD release, he raised his profile significantly with his portrayal of Quidditch-playing Cedric Diggory in 2005's "Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire" -a role he reprised two years later in "Harry Potter And The Order of The Phoenix." British TV productions "The Haunted Airman" and "The Bad Mother's Handbook" were followed by his starring role in the indie comedy "How To Be" Pattinson, who has played guitar and piano since an early age, performed three original songs on the soundtrack. The movie earned him best actor in a feature award at France's 2008 Strasbourg Film Festival. That same year, he starred as the vampire Edward Cullen in "Twilight" a movie based on the phenomenally successful series of novels by Stephanie Meyer, which have sold more than 50 million copies worldwide to date. The hit movie, which includes two of his songs on the soundtrack, established Robert as a major teen heartthrob. Following his portrayal of Salvador Dali in the art film "Little Ashes," he returns to the screen as Edward Cullen in the upcoming "Twilight" sequel "New Moon."
