Jude Law Born in London on December 29, 1972, David Jude Heyworth Law began acting with the National youth music theatre at the age of 12. He briefly attended the Guildall School of Music and Drama before beginning a two-year on the U.K. daytime soap "Families" Jude's work on the London stage urged him a nomination for the Laurence Olivier award for outstanding newcomer, in the United States, he played opposite Kathleen Turner on Broadway, earning a Tony Nomination his screen career which had seen him earn acclaim for his starring role in the 1994 indie thriller "Shopping", went into overdrive in 1997 with supporting roles in a trio of high-profile movies- "Wilde" "Gattaca" and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" that same year, he married actress Sadie Frost. (The couple, who have three children together, divorced in 2003) His Charismatic performance in 1999's "The Talented Mr. Ripley" earned him a best supporting actor Academy Award nomination. Starring roles in "Enemy at the Gates" "Artificial Intelligence: AI" and "The Road to Perdition" showed his versatility and 2003's "Cold Mountain" earned him his second Oscar Nomination. Surprisingly the follow-ups "Alfie" and "Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow" were not box office hits. However, cameos in the likes of "The Aviator" and starring roles in movies such as "Closer" and "The Holday" have continued to showcase his talent.
