Elijah Wood Born in Cedar rapids, Iowa on January 28, 1981, Elijah Jordan Wood appeared in local TV commercials and worked as a model before moving with his family to Los Angeles in 1988. A role in a Paula Abdul video was followed by his movie debut in "Back to The Future Part III" Bigger and better roles quickly followed, and by his early teens he had starred opposite Mel Gibson in "Forever Young" and Macaulay Culkin in "The Good Son" taken the lead in "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" starred in a re-make of "Flipper" and played the artful dodger opposite Richard Dryfuss as Fagin in an "Oliver Twist" TV movie He followed up with roles in "The Ice Storm" "The Faculty" and "Deep Impact" as well as a series of low-budget releases, before he landed the role that would make him a household name worldwide- The Hobbit Frodo Baggins in the epic "Lord of the Rings" triology. His subsequent work has ranged from a cameo in "Spy Kids 3D: Game Over" to a serial killer in "Sin City" to a supporting role in the quirky "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." November 2006 saw the release of two very different Elijah movies-he voiced the tap-dancing Penguin Mumble in the animated "Happy Feet" and joined an all-star ensemble cast in "Bobby" a film centered around the last hours of Senator Robert Kennedy.
