Born into one of the great acting dynasties, Drew Barrymore is the fifth member of her family to be honored with a star on the Hollywood walk of fame! Drew Blyth Barrymore was born in Culver City, California, on February 22, 1975. She made her acting debut at 11 months, appearing in a dog food commercial, and appeared in the Cindy Williams tv movie "Suddenly Love" before he was 3 years old. She was catapulted to fame when she co-starred in the 1982 blockbuster "E.T." That same year, the 7-year-old became the youngest ever host of Saturday Night Live. Two years later she was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in the movie "Irreconcilable Differences." But early fame took a heavy toll. She later recounted her wild, troubled childhood in her 1990 autobiography "Little Girl Lost." As she entered her late teens, Drew staged a comeback, starring in a succession of "Bad Girl" roles, including the lead in "Poison Ivy" and "The Amy Fisher Story." subsequent movies ranged from the light drama of "Boys On The Side" to the slasher thriller "Boys On The Side" to the slasher thriller "Scream" until she hit box office gold opposite Adam Sandler in the 1998 romantic comedy "The Wedding Singer" (the two teamed up together six years later for the equally well-received "50 First Dates.") Subsequent movies have cemented Drew's status as an "A" list actress- and also established her as a shrewd Hollywood mogul. For not only did she star in such hits as the two "Charlies Angels" movies, the dark comedy "Duplex" and the cult smash "Donnie Darko," the movies were also produced by her Flower Films company.
