Doc continues to talk with Ms. Dewalt on the phone…" Doc says, "Amos Bronson is missing?" Ms. Dewalt says, "Oh, you didn't know? Yes, he never came back after Alley Oop's party last summer!" Doc says, "I'm on my way!! I'll be there in fifteen minutes!" Doc says, "Oh, rats!! I forgot! Oop has my car! I'll have to call a cab!" Oscar says, "Nonsense!! I've got my car! Let's go!!" Oscar says, "You ready, Doc? Where are we going?" Doc says, "Er... uh... maybe you should stay here, Oscar! Really, I can get a cab!" Oscar says, "What's going on, Doc? One minute you're frantic to leave, and now, all of a sudden, you've got time to wait for a cab?!" Oscar says, "You don't trust me to be involved, do you?" Oscar says, "I realize I have to earn your trust back, but I need you to be honest with me about it!" Doc says, "That's fair! The truth is, I haven't decided how I feel about you yet! It's Oop who really doesn't trust you!" Doc says, "But the situation is too serious to worry about his feelings! Oop needs help, and Amos Bronson is missing! I'll take you up on your offer to help, Oscar!" Oscar says, "Good! Let's go!" More next week...
