Until late last century, Newton's ideas were the basis of science's concept of the universe. The universe was based on complexity, but, set in motion, it worked like a machine, like "clockwork." Most believed if the basic mathematics could be solved, everything would be predictable! Now it is accepted by many that the opposite is true-nature is simple at its basic, but it morphs into complexity... Arlo: And it isn't predictable at all! Janis: That sounds like chaos!
